My mate had the same problem. Sign out of the PSN and then retry. That should work.

Signing out of PSN and retrying seems to work tom. It's a bug that Rockstar know about apparently.

Yeah sorry, I meant that you had to stay signed out. (Not every time you want to play it, but just to get it to work - should work after that.)

Done the same for me twice on my ps3 and tbh a few of the games I have tryed have done the same thing, worse was UT3 but I hope there will be an update to solve the problem , If possible!

You left it loading "starting new game" for 20 minutes xD if that was an xbox it would have blow up

My 360 did this, had one red light come up on the front, said 'read error, contact microsoft' turned it off then back on again and all has been fine since.
Only done it with GTA4 though...

SYMPTOMS
You see the lower-right quadrant of the Ring of Light flash red on the front of the Xbox 360 console. Additionally, you do not receive an error message.

If one red light flashes and you receive an error message, there may be a different problem. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
907536 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907536/) Xbox 360: One red light flashes on the Ring of Light and you receive an error message
Back to the top

CAUSE
This behavior occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure.

THINGS TO TRY
1. Turn off the console, disconnect and reconnect all cables, and then turn the console back on.
2. Turn off the console, and then disconnect any connected accessories, such as controllers, Xbox 360 Memory Units, and the Xbox 360 Hard Drive. With these accessories removed, restart the console to see whether the problem persists and to pinpoint whether it is the console or an accessory.
3. If you continue to experience this problem, contact Xbox Customer Service.
