As some of you know i've just bought some 16" softstars for my GSi (which is going to stood until the end of the year, or beginning of next year) and i'm looking into buying some tyres for it next week.
What i'm wanting to know is - Will the tyres be ok, or will they perish because it being stood? Don't really want to waste £160...
thanks.

it would depend how you store them (ie up on end or lying flat, inflated to X pressure etc) but if you know they will go no where for x months buy fresh....

If it going to be stood around, why not leave it on steelies or what its on at the moment then get tyres on the softstars when its/you ready to drive again
