Depends which one you're in and what you've done to be there. Either way i know even if they gave me an xbox, sky telly and everything in between in i'd still rather withhold my own right to walk about, do and say whatever i feel like.

Depends on how much you earn though doesn't it.

Just because your in prison doesnt mean you wont still have to pay all those things you mentioned. If you have a house \ wife \ kids etc someone still has to pay the bills.

If you live with parents and have no commitments then thats a different story.

Might sound stupid.

But what happens if you have a morgage and debts and you live on your own and your sent to prison?

do you lose the house and what happens to your debts?

Always wondered about that.

"Your house may be repossed if you do not keep up with your repayments"

Basically

Creditors should show you some leniency in terms of time for sorting stuff out etc but basically nothing changes...

Same... someone has to pay

As anyone who has ever had bailiffs to their house will attest... the occupiers pay the bill if you cant... ie theyll make your parents pay

ah right cheers

i always thought theyd have to right the debts off or wait till theyre released.

I cant see why it would be down to your parents to pay though?

Its true but i have the feeling some people are just x their yearly salary without thinking about expenses.

To save 20k after expenses a year to equal the 100k you would get after 5 years inside, you would have to be on shite loads.

but if you knew you was giong inside you'd be silly to stay tied in with a mortgage imo. i'd dash the house But if i had a wife and kids there would be no way i'd do it.

No thanks.

£100k wouldnt last very long though as you'd never be able to get a job with a decent wage etc,
