has anyone here ever been to watch le mas 24 hour race?
Do you need tickets? Where do you buy them and what stands etc. are there?
Is there a parade of cars before the race in Le Mans, is it worth going to watch that?

Theres a Lee Evans stand up section about this , well F1, but its the same idea and he says he pays £50 to stand outside and watch a car go vroooooooooooooooooooooooooooom past without even seeing it.
Other than that i am aware it an all day event.

You're aware that the Le Mans 24 hour race is an all day event. Wow, you are so fucking clever.

What happens then over the days, what stuff is there? Do they have loads of display stands and a parade of cars? What tickets do you need to buy?
Where do you usually stay? How much would it cost for the whole thing?

ive done it various ways. 1st year we went with ITG motorsport holidays which was a coach to Portsmouth, ferry to LeHarve, coach to Lemans and event tickets. thats was good, great way to do it for your 1st time. for the past for years weve driven and camped. Which is a much better experience as you get to meet a ton of people
tickets, you can buy an event ticket for Sat and Sun which covers the actual 24hr race, and you can also get tickets for practice days on Thrs and Fri.
theres always a ton of stuff on display - LOADS! theres a race before the main event which is usually something like 80s-90s group C cars, or sometime older stuff, jsut depends.
for prices youd need to make up you mind what you wanted to do as cost vary greatly.

Saw a load of amber lighted S5s heading off for Le Mans on a transport this morning, official cars apparently.
