of course it's going to look like a volvo 
if you put a new mondeo and an aston martin together, you'll notice some parts look alike too

it's because aston martin and volvo are both owned by ford and the design of the car's show the links between the marques, nothing to do with a fiat looking like a ferrari

i know i mean you don't see fiat carrying over designs for fiats onto ferrari's.
or i don't anyway.
next time you see an aston and an 08 mondeo together, have a good look at the front grille and the side profile

That new Jaguar looks nearly identical to a Mondeo, especially from the back.

I've always thought the new punto looked like a squashed 612. But still good looking.
Edit: I actually can't see and volvo in the kuga.

its a copy of the Nissan Qashqai!
When i went to the nissan factory before christmas they were saying Ford are releasing a cross over sector car to compete with it!
Looks ugly tho tbh!
