Not being funny tom but think of the extra admin / extra time it'd require to go round to everywhere previously and post letters through people's doors... Most people of which would ignore anyway.
They probably knocked on doors to ask for it to be moved when they were there, but she wasn't in...
I'm not saying it was great of them, i just think really in the grand scheme of things, they're in a worse position than she is...
She parked her car over a hole...
They filled up what they could...
She's been inconvienced how?
However, they're gonna have to come back and fill it in again another day.
hence where's the need for a thread complaining and going  bloody work men!

Round here they at least put a sign out when they are gonna be tarmacing or whatever saying 'please dont park here during these times' They could well have done that with little effort and avoided the situation.
You mentioned the council estate thing which is why you got jumped on mate I don't see why you have a problem with her being unhappy about potentially getting bits of tarmac on her car etc
