I currently don't have any full NCB, and with a crash against my name, it's kind of essential I get at least 1 years NCB.

I'm kind of looking to change my car BUT the insurance company I'm with are shit with mods (tried charging me £1300 to lower the car, along with putting me on a completely new policy, taking my premium to £2k).

So, if I bought a certain car, I'd need to change insurer.

Would I lose by '8 months NCB' I've currently got with existing insurer. Will any insurance companies honour that?

In bit of predicament, any help would be great

no companies will honour 8 months, call them tell them your considering changing your car, see what they say, they might be able to put the new car on the existing policy

Well, with mu current insurer, on a completely new policy, they quoted me:
£1949 with all the mods on the certain car declared. Only a 1.4 16v Corsa C Exclusiv

just find someone else deano. There are better insurers out there for yourself. Just phone around.

Brentacre quoted me well when others wouldn't touch me on the A3

Yeah you would lose the 8 months you have already built up, for the amount of money you will of already paid on the policy, personally i would stick it out the extra 4 months and get the years ncb from them.

Going to do that I think.

And regardless with the 12v, just in case I fancy a few things.

Shame, the car I fancy is in Genera Chat at the moment, "think I'm in love thread".

Yeah, 4 months is going to fly by I would consider declaring the Airdam as well, so that if I crashed that was covered.

thing is mate, most insurance companies don't replace like for like, so in the end you would actually lose out on what is an optional extra part from the vauxhall factory.

Spoke to dad. He seems to make the negative look positive.

Just 14 months to wait now for a new car unless mine goes pop.

EDIT: Cheers Pete
