I got asked at Asda the other day (i'm 27), and the wife was with me (she's 26). we were buying just 6 bottles of beer!!

I had no ID, but the wife did, but the jobsworth behind the till said we both had to have it or she couldn't serve us!

So I said...."yeah...you've got me, i'm only 17, so i'm getting my wife who's 26 to buy me alcohol, then we are going to drink it on a street corner and smash some phone boxes up"

She didn't know what to say for about 15 seconds and then she said..."well this time i'll let it go, but both bring ID next time..."

FFS.

Okay...I don't look 27, but I definatley look over 21!!! FFS!

Asda now have a policy where they have to ID anyone who looks under 25 which is just ridiculous.

Im 21 but don't look it so get ID'd fairly often, doesnt really bother me as i always have it on me but what does piss me off is when the bouncers ID you outside a bar and then the bar staff ask for it again inside it!

sometimes i get asked, sometimes i don't. i'm 20.

must looks older/younger depending on which day it is

either that or some people have common sense whilst others don.t

mind you, i used to work in a supermarket and I.D'd a 32 year old who looks about 14. she had the tiniest head i've ever seen on a 6ft woman and some huge hips with no tits

tbh i think they'd rather spend 10 mins putting it all back than get fined £5000 or whatever it is for serving someone they shouldn't

I am a licensee and manage 2 bars within my department at work so i fully sympathise with shop staff having to ask for ID, as it is them personally who gets fined, not just the company.

BUT...they need to use some common sense.

I always get ID'd and I'm 20. dont bother me so much Im used to it, I just get the satisfaction of asking others when Im working.

they give me a right dirty look, to which I reply.

"I get Id'd all the time, you really think I'm not gonna ask you?"

Yeah, to be honest its satisfying to have it, some times they look really smug and think "check this fool out" before they have chance to say anything I drop the line "You really think I'm gonna try and buy something without ID?"
