i sent off my v5 with details of my engine change from x14xe to an x16xe, they sent back a letter saying that i needed to provide evidence, they also gave me an addressed envelope which goes straight to someone in DVLA (sandra). I then recieved my evidence back four days later but no v5.

I guess the details are now being changed, and im just wondering how long they will take to send me my registration document seeing as they have had the v5 for a while already and my evidence went straight to her?

They wanted prove that you put a bigger engine in? Never heard of that before!

You should get it back next week.

been happening quite alot now...

just take it to a garge or to vauxhall, and get an engineers report, stating new engine number etc

dont expect it back any time soon, been waiting 4 my log book 4 9 months now

I'm still waiting on my retention certificate for my plate coming back. Really pissing me off..been 5 week now. Got the tax disc back, but no V750

Ive done a few engine swaps now and never been asked for an engineers report And always recived my new v5 with the new details withing a couple off weeks
