I'm going away in Aug but I've been told I should be buying my Euro's now....
Current exchange rate is about 1.2 Euro's to the pound but I have been told by August it will be about 96 cents to the pound....
Does anyone know anything about this or is someone just talking rubbish to me!!

Guess the euro is dropping, last time I got some was nearer 1.5!
Its a good time to buy the dollar at the moment, as any spare cash I have I get little amounts for my hols!
Other week the dollar went upto to £1 = $2.10 so I got some at that but at moment is less!
Watch the euro for a week, see if it goes up or down, then make your choice!

Thing is I don't go till August so didn't really want to buy £800 worth of currency yet if I don't have too. If it's gonna drop to below 1 Euro though I'd rather buy them now!

Currency trading, at the end of the day you are doing it on the back of someone elses advice. It can work out, a family member of mine for example buys alot of stuff from europe, they purchased 50,000 euros a few months ago and is now enjoying the benefits.

But we sholud still keep the pound ad it's so amazing
But seriously. If you're going away then get yourself a Caxton FX Card. You have to buy €750 at time, but you get a beneficial exchange rate for doing so, then if you have a bit left over they will convert it back to GBP for no cost at the same exchange rate as you bought it. The only chrage you get for cash withdrawls is €2 which is pretty good too.

They also do one for USD too

It's been consistently dropping for months and months and doesn't 'appear' to want to slow down, if it continues at the same rate it will be under the euro mark for a pound before the end of the year.

I can see the euro dropping further, so if you are definately planning a trip abroad, then you're better off changing it now.
