Well needing a run about since i got rid of the S16 306
went an looked at a V reg silver sxi last week but cylinder head was away so left it at that
going to see another 1.2 16v tomorrow been told it has a chain and not a timing belt anyhting particular to look out for
its a V reg red 1.2 16v not sure of the model looks tidy in the pics 79k and FSH at what intervals does the chain need changed not got a clue and know the belts usually 40k

chains strech and they can be prone to the tensioners going
if its been replaced it should sound quite

what intervals should the chain be replaced? its apparently been checked over by vaux and A ok but unless he can prove this with a receipt or what not its only his word

Thats the trouble in buying a 2nd hand car
If in doubt ring vauxhall where it was done they should have records
