Couple pics since the decals where fitted to the wheels. Not particularlly good pictures and the car needs a clean but you get the idea :tops:
Close up of the rust where the fuel tank has rubbed the underneath

Started giving it a clean and rubbing down the surface rust

Random.. found a number 10 stamped in the rear panel near the exhaust hanger

Then applied a coat of this to the rust spots I had rubbed down

Rear beam to come off next

Update
Let the rust killer do its thing

Then primed them with this stuff

So basically the fuel area looks like it has the lurgy now

More tomorrow :tops:

Rear end removed

Gearbox out ready to go to PDE friday for the 3.9 drop down gears

My god the wax oil is thick at the front

Gearbox tunnel

Started having a pick

Half of me is saying what the fuck am I doing, the other half is saying this really needs to be done or I'll regret it later.. starting to shit it whether it'll be ready for Central Day
Kept at it thou...
What a a mission, almost knocked myself out on white spirit and had the headache of all headaches a couple of days ago, so i'm back on the WD40:cry:
The buisness end of the Monte

This is the worst part so far and had to wire brush back some surface rust

Gonna keep at it:tiff:

The underside restro has stepped up a massive gear!
The engine bay is now being done aswell
Saturday morning

Sunday afternoon

Picked up my new 6 degree beam from Harvey friday

Check out the 909 bling

So now the engine is out it will be partly stripped down and delivered back to Harvey Gibbs for its change of spec

Scary looking now

QUOTE=Paul Ripley;3186808]These are possibly the scariest pictures I've ever taken of Monte 006

mallard green is a monte colour
But Paul Ripley is beyond the point of obsession with escort cossie's
Dont get me wrong, i think everyone loves an Escos but he thinks he's found something fundimental and rare on the back panel by way of a number 10being stamped on it :lo:
