If you are going to get koni ajustables dont bother replacing the leaky shock then, not unless its proper weeping

maybe he did, newer car, faster, better handling, and more that likely better spec'd? should he have bought a subaru?

Yes he should have I'd say a scooby is a decent upgrade from an Ibiza with 220 bhp.Don't you?

Id have the 182 over a 12-13 year old scooby all day long.

Why because you can't insure a scooby?

Im 24 with 5years NCB, dont just presume that everybody on this site is a 17yr old corsa driver. id choose the 182 as it does not come with the stereotypical views of being a chav mobile in the same way that a 1995 scooby does IMO.

I've now started looking at these. Think when my Vento Tdi gives up I might purchase one. Theres a few cheaper ones on autotrader but you have to be fast as the sell quickly!

What mpg are these capable of Rob? Or how many miles do you get out of a tenner?

Erm,... at the monment about 30mpg however on the way back from southampton where i picked it up from i was getting around 37mpg at 74mph, cruise control helps alot as it keeps the speed very steady..

be careful with cheaper ones, the few ive seen around the 5.5k mark need cambelt or aux belt doing which are 600+ pound job's...

Also id deffinetly try and find one with both cup packs as the suspension is much better and you get a few extra bits which make it look much better IMO

I picked mine up off cliosport.net, luckily he didnt have it advertised anywhere else.. had it up for 6k but i knocked him down on a few bits..

In regards to it being better to drive than the ibiza, Deffiently, much better power delivery, still quick, handles great, more comfortable, more comforts inside (cruise control, auto wipers, auto headlights etc), Id pick one any day even over an ibiza modified to the spec mine was

that is quick, i'd be interested to do a vid on mine, it feels slow (to me) - but like in that vid, it's only little a few seconds in each gear 1st and 2nd. and doesn't take long to go round in 3rd.
