I had the opportunity to run around in this car for the weekend, which I duly obliged.
I have some experience of the Audi product and the last 18mths has been fantastic for the brand from a sales perspective.
I have had this car before now, but didnt get the opportunity to get any pictures.
'57 A6 2.7 TDi S-Line Saloon
Dolphin grey
Leather
19" RS4 Wheels
Audi MMI + Nav
Drives fantastically, perfectly poised on the 19's with no harsh feedback. Massive boot, loads of interior room and built to the highest quality. A real upper premium car.
The 2.7TDi V6 feels like a compromise over the 3.0TDi, but certainly not underpowered. If nothing else, just for the badge on the boot.
Would I buy this over an E-Class? Probably....And as much as I love the 530d, I think I would opt for one of these over the BMW.

As suspected Mate...Not driven the 3.0 in the A6, only the A5 Quattro - which was immense. Might whip that away next weekend

Quite like them, especially the Le mans ones.
I think I will want to be over 30 before I own anything like that though. I want a go in a 3.0 TDI, keep hearing people raving about how good it is.
2 of the directors at work have recently got 520ds and they are just a bit boring and ugly for me

Shittest visibility ever though, yeah, fair enough, it's got an electronic catch on the glovebox, but you can't actually see out of the car.

Not uncommon on alot of new cars these days Robin.
Wider pillars and lower rooflines etc

I wonder if the 3.0TDi engine will go in an A3 engine bay

Would be quite cool The 3.2 V6 fits in so maybe it would?!
But you'd just buy an A4 with it in

S-Line/Lemans vs. M-Sport
S-Line would win the majority of the time. It all depends on the engines - and thats where the 5 may take the win.
