What should and shouldn't be done in your opinion?
For me it's:
Should
- Lowered at least 40mm
- 15"/16" alloys
- Induction kit
- Cat-back or backbox
- Replace Grille
(Keep it subtle )
Shouldn't
- Huge Spoilers (or in some people's cases 2 spoilers)
- Lexarse lights (they've never looked good imo)
- Wide bodykits (make it look really 'chaved up')
- Decals all over (why oh why )
what else?

Should
- Lowered 40mm
- 15" alloys
- Derestricted airbox and replacement panel filter
- Cat-back or backbox
- Debadged grille
- Smoked headlights
- Different side repeaters
- Different rear lights (given colour of the car)
- Subtle skirts if not already got
IMO of course.

do away with the unneeded piping in the air box, does make a difference. Do a search plenty on here about it

Should:
Be lowered to optimise handling (height doesn't bother me)
Have good anchors hidden behind the smallest, lightest, widest wheels possible.
A subtle, and not too loud exhaust.
POWER.

in my opinion the best body kits are the top of the range ones made by the manufacturers for your car

The wide bodykits and decals depend on the cars use really. There's a ridiculously wide Corsa kicking about, (Daimo will have the pic, I remember a thread in which he stated his love for it) and that is AWD and INSANE. Also, cars such as Brosters, and more recently, N90ATH's, the decals are to promote companies and products. So it's function over fashion in that sense. But I agree, decals etc look a bit daft when they are just stuck on for no reason.

As eck said wide bodykits can look good on the right car.

but imo u should do your car the way u want it,if you listen to everyone on here it will just be another boring irmscher, steinmetz corsa gsi kit wearing corsa.
People on this site have lost the powere of originality, theres so many cars on here now that look the same

OMG, I need more detailed info about the rear suspension of this car. Just the right setup i need.
Does anyone have more detailed pics, specs or just an email of the owner/team?

The car is in NI last a hear and is 4 wheels drive.
Its a hard car to track down
As said Wide archs look the dogs bollox if done right
reason why i have them
Also like to add i have had the kit on my car since 2004 which is now 4 YEAR not many kits still look good and are not showing its age where the Rally Wide arch kit is still the dogs .
i have always said a rally car from with 1980's will still look cool now-a-days

^^ Im asking for people's opinions buddy!
Beardy those cars look - Im guessing you've spent a lot of time and ££££ on them!!!
I definately agree that serious and OTT modifications only look good if they are done properly!! which can be rare unfortunately
