i know a few people are interested in VAGs on here.
A mate and me are thinking of investing in a polo for a euro project.
Needs to be quite fast though - and wondering what bhp is easily gainable? We want it 150 - 160bhp
Cheers if you can help before we decide to invest

Could be done, not sure how tunable the 1.6 is.
1.8T might slide in, who knows

theres a vag specialist in derby somewhere that does remaps that give an extra 11/12bhp.
a friend of mine got his to about 143bhp......
maybe i could send it to get some turbo fitted to it

There was a pedal box recall, make sure that was done before you start modding it too much

i had a polo gti, lovely car.
Had g60 brakes and lowered on eibach springs, handled unbelievably well and stopped equally as well. Went well but certainly not mind blowing and as mentioned, gear box is a issue with alot of them... y i got rid of mine!
I miss it though!
