I have no idea either, looks to me that it has taken out the flat spot on the line, which has increased the hp, a gain of 50 hp is it? is pretty good and im sure at 180 it will still drive fine, as tbh its the same hp as a moder saloon car, but in a lighter smaller car
Also you can see that the build up of hp against the RPM is alot more constant

IMO get it done, will feel like a totally different car.
it's not like getting an air filter or exhaust where you most likely won't feel any noticeable improvement on power, it's like 45bhp difference which is another 1.2 8v on top

I get a lot of customers that arent sure about getting a remap done, so I remap it for them give them the keys and tell them to go away for 30 mins and test drive it, bring it back and tell me if they want to pay for it and keep it or wether they want me to put the car back to standard at no charge.
I am yet to put a car back to standard.

dont worry, we have that covered. the new map we upload does not include the immobiliser codes for the ecu, it will start and run until they remove the key from the ignition and lock the car
(does not apply to all cars)

we ensure that the customer understands that they cannot remove the keys from the ignition or lock the car. If they do then they cant be very far away to go out to them with the laptop. Revo and Angel tuning use the exact same practice.

I remapped my vectra 2.0 DTi as I was bored, got reasonable gains but ut it back to standard. it lasted 16 hours before I uploaded the remapped file to the ecu again, diesels are shockingly bad when you go back to standard!

JUST out of curiosity, why did you put it back?

put it back to standard?
car is a workhorse, didnt drive it after the remap really, just looked at dyno graphs and drove it home. was impressed by the gain the next day and car felt good but the car is purely for economy and remaps tend to get you using the throttle a little more to make the most of the power so I changed it back to standard.
then realised that the driving experience was so much better with the remap, put it back on and after a few fill ups with fuel realised that economy was mostly unaffected af far as MPG.
tyres dont last as long though on remapped diesels
