FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE (been through all this before)
i didn't declare mods on my old corsa - took springs off, kept alloys on.
assessor came out and said i had a ''sports exhaust'' and aftermarket alloy wheels.
i had to pay £600 to allow the mods to be put on my insurance.
i had tinted windows all round which he didn't see (god knows how as they were limo and 50%.
i got paid in full for the accident (wasn't my fault) and got 1 years NCB instead of void insurance
silly thing to do i know, so anyone who plans on lecturing me, GTF

A few years ago my mate crashed his car with induction kit and aftermarket exhaust on that wasn't declared. So we went to the garage and took the exhaust off and put the standard airbox back on. Then claimed the exhaust had been ripped off when it was recovered from on top of the wall
