According to the news he has around 5 weeks left to live i hate hearing things like this.
quote: Doctors are understood to have warned him to prepare for the end and are not thought to be planning further treatment.
The star of Ghost was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January and is said to have lost more than 20 pounds in the past few weeks .
Swayze is now believed to be resting at his New Mexico ranch.

Patrick Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late January 2008 and has been undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments at the Stanford University Medical Center.[3][4][5] A March 5, 2008 Reuters article reports that Swayze "has a very limited amount of disease, and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far."[6] Patrick Swayze's doctor has confirmed the actor has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - but insists he's not as close to death as reports suggest.[7]Some reports have stated he only has five weeks left to live but this has been denied by his doctor.
I know Wikipedia isnt a very good source, but thats what I got from there

Most people with pancreatic cancer die within 5 years so if he has that most likely is true that he is dying.

"However, his doctor said reports that the Dirty Dancing star had only five weeks to live were "absolutely untrue". "

While I think it's a shame and is indeed sad, I don't see the millions of unknowns, that may include family members, having their names spalshed across the news and having everyone feeling sorry for them?
It's a shame just because he is famous that attention is aimed at him and everyone saying how sad it is etc, when there are millions of other people in the world dealing with cancer that don't get a mention as they aren't famous
