ok i know im going to get alot of stick about this off some people. but how many people tell there insurance when they have replaced there engine with a bigger engine? say a 1.4 to a 1.6?

Im 19 and have no no claims bonus etc, got quoted £2,500 on a 2.0 16v corsa, which i thought was quite good. Gonna wait till August and have 1yncb then do it.

stick to the 1.4, not really enough differnence to warant the expense at that age.

If he does wants it though just ring arround . I had no probs insuring a corsa gsi when i was 18/19

How many bluddy corsa's are there on Ebay and in the write up it say's "its registerd as a 1.2, you can change it if you wish"

There are friggin thousands of people out there, with bigger engins under their bonnet (especially red tops)

Let them run someone down and kill them, and be in debt for the rest of their lives because they have been sued for 4 million pounds!

Tbh my opinion on it is: If you cant insure a bigger engine then you shouldnt have 1, simple

Think about it this way, if something goes wrong and they look under your bonnet and find that engine you are in trouble for,

Invalid Insurance
Invalid MOT
Road Tax Fraud (Not a good thing to get caught with)

LOTS of trouble if you get caught mate

well ive just phoned up quinn and asked them they gave me a quote of £2882 3rd party fire n theft
