Ok so i have a plan, you could say its a long term plan.

Next year the misus and me are getting our own place and i want a 2 bed with a garage, I want to sell the S2000, and get a cheap run a round bus, £500 - 1K (corsa, saxo, civic, 106, 306 etc...)

Then i wanna look at spending 4-6K on a Kit car, Dax / Tiger sort of thing.

It will be a weekend toy and a trackday toy.

Would prefer one fully complete with SVA but thats not essential.

Ok enough of the ramblings, what i want to know is for that price range can i get sumit half decent? and what are the better ones to look at?

Whats the major Pro's and Cons?

People with experiance wether its a Westy / Tiger / Dax whatever, Finchy? Stu?

I have absolutely no experience with them....

BUT

Surely there would be limited times you could actually use it? Would have to be nice weather and you not to have any other commitments on the weekends. I would think it would make more sense to buy something like a E36 M3 Evo that you could use as a daily driver and still quite happily take on a track day

Yeah Stu is, Im not by no means a mechanic so i dont really want to build one from scratch, but servicing one would not be to much of a problem,

Theres a nice XE one on piston heads, not sure if i would want an XE one though, allthough if theres mounts in there for an XE im not sure if that means a LET can be put in??

I know of more than one person who uses one every day to commute to work.

If it's built right, it's no worse than any other convertible really.

Cant recommend the MK Indy enough really! Easy to build, pretty cheap, fast and as reliable as the person who has screwed it together!

To be honest if you want fun Id go with a bike engine! 14,000rpm+ and a sequential box! Awesome! If you need any specific details give us a shout and I can send pics and details!
