annoyed!

i recently turned 21 and my parents didnt get me anything just said they would put some money towards my next car

so ive been looking for a new car and ive decided on 1.8 astra coupe's, theyre in my price range and cheap enough to insure.. so i told my parents its the car i want etc etc

ive just heard the most crap ever, apparently because im young its too big for me, too fast, ill be paying too much, ill be getting pulled over all the time they always see lads in big cars getting pulled over, itll be worth nothing in 3 years, ill crash it, ill be paying pollution tax ...

its just like wtf.. i dont want a 1.2 corsa anymore! i want something newer and with at least some power

It's the smallest engine choice for that car, make sure they know that the only other option is a 2.0T or 2.2

Mine said the same thing when I got my 2.0 TB'd Corsa at 19 Although they didn't pay anything towards it

Explain to them how your car is smaller, therefore less safe if you have an accident, which you will, as it has less power, so you can't pull out of junctions safely, the Astra also has ABS and airbags.

If that fails, buy it anyway and move out.
