Right,

I was driving back from Paris on sunday, and I overtook a car on the french motorway, once i got round it i saw a policeman with a camera at the side of the road.

obv i dont want to incriminate myself here, but I probably was speeding. although not by a massive amount (i.e. not excessive)

basically, i thought they would have pulled me over if indeed i was speeding, but they didnt, i was wondering how it would work if i did get sent a ticket? what if i wasnt to pay? would i be banned from driving in France? or do i get the penalty from our DVLA?

Also, Lewis hamilton was going stupid speeds and he lost his licence in France, not in any other country in Europe.

any help is appreciated

i think if i remember correctly from watching things like top gear and the canon ball... nothing happens or you are just banned from driving in that country.

Just laugh when they take you to court and say it was in france.

Just say 'I went to Asda then B&Q on that day, Not fucking france'.

P.s Matt is correct, You only get banned in that country. Doubt anything will come of it anyway.

"Apparently" you the DVLA and the french equiv are linked. I work with a guy who has been france many times, at three figure speeds and still have a clean licence. I got tugged for speeding in france, 80 euro fine
