Went to get the parking ticket from the barrier we have at work and all of a sudden i hear a thud when the window was down, and it automatically went back up nearly trapping my arm in it. Had to climb out of the car and get the ticket out Now the electric window switch is not working, its fine for the passenger side.

I bought it from a garage with a years warranty just need some comfort that these sort of things are covered within a normal warranty?? only had it about 5-6 months.

I don't see why it shouldn't be covered - not like you could have broken it on purpose.

Be careful, the sunroof on my escort broke and I took it back to the garage as i thought it was covered by warranty. Turns out the warranty covered mechanical parts only such as gearbox/clutch etc. Forked out £250 to fix the bastid

Give the garage a call and see what the warranty covers, or have you got it in writing?

Rang them up, wil need to look at it before giving an asessment. If its the motor etc they will replace under warranty - though if its a fuse i will ahve to play.

Have a funny feeling it might be the fuse, as i heard a thud/bang and the window just went up automatically.

That's a strange warranty, usually clutch is something they will not cover!
