went up to paint supply shop today to do some shopping for his 200sx (not the neon orange one).

is all of that stuff necessary? how much paint would be needed to re-spray a black corsa black? would it need primer? cheers in advance

Above is what a bodyshop would more than likely buy to do your car, but they will have alot of the stuff they need already so some hidden costs!
They will already have, filler, sand paper, tac rags, mop heads, G3 compound etc etc. but all that has been paid for by them so you get charged a part of that and then labour!
2 litres of paint for a small car like a corsa, and yes I would prime it first,

Probably wouldn't need primer unless there has been filler work. Could scotch it all back, fill in any chips with stopper and prime any spots where dents have been filled.

It's a kind of filler which is for using very thinly as it sinks like a biatch if you use it too thick. Look for Dolphin Glaze...
