hopefully getting my gti on monday if all goes well! wasnt getting it for a few months but one came up for sale which was cheep and with low milage and 52 plate i couldnt say no!! ill get some pics when its back home, is there much i should look out for when buying it?

Yeah, Ferrari's and shit cos as soon as you put the foot down your gonna be sitting up there arse and over taking Gallardo's and that aswell.

And watch out for the zib zorbs on the cooling system , There prone to de-hydrating.

Good choice thou, Would have been cheaper buying a KFC Zinger Tower Meal and dropping an XE in it. Twice as safe.

Only thing id check is usual pug faults, electrics, other than that they are pretty solid, shouldnt think youd have a problem on an 02 reg though.
Nice cars, i had the 106Zest - (yeh not quite a gti i know)

If its an 02 plate then it shouldnt have any problems mate

whats the mileage on it???

Rubbish, my old gti had 100k miles on it and I done a few 1/4 mile days and drove it hard quite often and NEVER had any problems with the gearbox or any other part of the car

But yeh gearboxes ... tho they're common and quite cheap.

I've got one you can buy if you want a spare £100.
