Me and Adam have been thinking about this, and have pretty much decided that we would rather ask for cash than have a wedding list.
Mostly because we've been living together for about 5 years now, and also we're planning on moving to Dubai a few months after the wedding, so there's not much point in getting dishes and pans
I've been trying to think up some wee poems to put in the invites, to ask for cash in a nice way....
What do you think?
We’ve been together for a few years
And have a lovely home
There are not too many items now
We don’t already own
We’re moving to Dubai this year
And cannot carry lots
Fiona’s clothes fill up all our bags
So please don’t get us pots
Please don’t be offended
And please don’t think we’re brash
But if your thoughts were on a present
We would much prefer the cash
But the choice is really up to you
And we would like to say
That we hope you come, enjoy yourselves
And have a lovely day
If your thoughts were on a gift
Your presence will suffice,
But if you really feel the need
Then the gift of Dollars would be nice.
We’re moving to Dubai this year
And renting out our home
So we’ll be putting into storage
Everything we own
The choice is really up to you
And we would like to say
We hope you come, enjoy yourselves
And have a lovely day

No way, i couldn't bare to give someone money knowing it was gonna buy them a rari 
My cousin did something similar with the poem idea but for john lewis vouchers, it's a nice thought

I know...it seems a bit cheeky to me! We have all we want so give us your money to buy a complete luxury
I had looked to see if we could get emirates vouchers, so they could be used towards holidays/flights home, but don't think you can
My only concern is that I might not have a job by the time we send the invites out, or if I do, I might not have told my work (since we wouldn't be moving for about another 6 months)
Oh it's a toughie
