Just coming back from Asda there on the Dual Carriage way and went throuhg the speed camera at about 27/28mph and it flashed.
There was a for Focus behind me in the slow lane but he was doing about the same speed as me when i looked back?
Is it Me , Him or an error?
Iv got 3 points and my 2 years is up in April.

they'll be able to tell how fast you was going with the lines on the road, so if the camera is not working correctly the lines will show your correct speed

i've been flashed doing 45mph in a 50mph limit mate, don't worry about it, could have jus tbeen out of film and randomly flashing or doing it to someone on the other side of the road.
if anything come's through it will say the speed you were doing, and will mean the fine is null and void.

Sounds like a camera error to me, or the guy in the focus was accelerating up behind you.

i remember a taxi driver getting a fine through the door (3 points, 60 quid) whilst doing 2mph in rush hour traffic.
the only way he could prove it was because the taxi centre or something had a speed tracker on his taxi that allowed them to see his exact speed and where he was.

I quite often set the cameras off on the opposite side of the A2, quite funny if there is a car on the other lines
If you weren't speeding it's nothing to worry about

Just realised i was at the end of the lines almost, is it true the 'loop' is before the camera?

yes.
it detects your speed at the start of the camera, flashes and flashes again - so that you basically get a pic of the car travelling over the lines, to measure the speed.
Hence if you caused it to flash coz you were doing 50, slammed the brakes on and went through... even if you were only doing 27 mph by the last line of the camera, you've been caught doing over 30 mph.

average speed from the first line to one of the last ones, ive gone into a camera well over the limit and managed to stop before i finished goin over the lines and it didnt flash me!
