Where is option 3, pay no more and get the same excess after they honour the initial arrangement?

Listening to calls isn't as reliable as they might make out. I had Admiral lose one of my calls which resulted in a 5 week delay to repair and me not actually knowing if they were going to pay it. Claimed I was dishonest on the phone, but then couldn't listen to tell me I actually was right.

Unless things are absolutely perfect next year they're not getting the business even if it means paying more. Its not worth saving 50 quid to be messed about when you claim.

You get a policy number and details when you first take out insurance, and if anything happens and the police are involved it should be on the computer your insured?

Thats what I think anyway, dont belieive that your not insured until your documents come through the door

if your documents are wrong then your insurance can be void; therefore you have to be in possession of a valid certificate or ocver note - how else do you know if they're correct because over the phone does not count!

Called back today (they sent out policy with no mods mentioned) & there going to keep the excess as it was also, keep me happy & you'll get repeat business & my home ins cover at renewal also seemed to work

So after a bit of a initial shambles its a thumbs up from me to Direct Line, also have agreement to drive any car with tpft cover, an extra I wasnt aware I was getting which is nice.
