is there a way 2 claim NCB when your just a named driver as ive been a named driver 4 2years and a mate sed i can use that as my own NCB but am not sure need 2 renew insureance soon so b4 i start ringin and askin whated 2 know if anyone knows anything i hope so need cheerin up had the wing mirrors kicked of my corsa last

dont think you can no, think its just the policy holder that has them, thats what annoys most young people who go on their parents insurance on a modified saxo or something.

although there is one company that now does it so anyone on the policy gets the no claims.

directline give you ncb if your a named driver, and i believe its also the case even if the policy holder hadnt used direct line

so if i ring directline and say ive been a named driver 2 years not claims or anything they count that as 2years NCB becuase am sure its only if i insure with them and put a named diver on they will build a NCB 2

worth a go, my mate got 4 years ncb from doing the same as he was a named driver under his mums policy, but she was with directline but i also heard it doesnt matter what company the policy holder was with

You have to have gotten the NCB with direct-line I think. Not 100% sure though.

i have just gone with CIS insurance and they said i can get my own no cliams as a named driver
