Its getting to the point where they cant ethically go any higher.

On Parkers it says the tank for my car (no idea if yours is different) is 46litres. At 105.9/litre that's £48.71 to fill

I can live with 1.10p a litre for diesel.

It's no cheaper in Europe either. Bio diesel is still about 80p a litre though

we pay almost the most in the world for our fuel.

gov need to stop taxing it.

If they were to charge people coming into the country... they'd be able to even the fuel costs out a bit

yes, but you car tax is much lower than most other countries too.

we pay per 85p per litre for our petrol in ireland.

but my nissan 200sx costs me £417 in road tax a year which is a lot more than the UK as far as i know and thats due to go up soon.

this is what i love about going to america, in Aug i was paying $2.50 a gallon and a full tank in this nissan 2.5 thingy was like £22

It will over the next year I gurantee it, Government are looking to heavily tax diesel soon.

Mate of mine had a lecture in his motrosport degree about it.

Yes, but by about a penny. French fuel costs about the same.

If they tax diesel even more heavily than they are just now everybody will go back to petrol and the cycle will go around again.

There will be a revolt in my lifetime unless there are big changes, i'm 100% sure of that.

It will also encourage people to use LPG and maybe the intoduction of Bio Ethenal (sp)

Naa it'll just make people go back to petrol, if they went to the alternatives the govt would just wait till the majority had invested and bump the tax up on that as well.
