If you are going to the london eye, then victoria is very close and has a few theatres I work inbetween the two.

Greenwhich has a decent travel inn. Its cheaper at the weekends, think its £45 per nite, i'll double check tonight as i ride past it.

Greenwhich is better to stay in imo. Got the park n that, plus you can jump on the DLR or tube into canary wharf or central london.

I always use this site to find a hotel when I go. Often get 5* for less than £50 a night

for the real london experience I'd book into somewhere in central/west london. As great as cheap hotels are it just wont have the same old london town feel to it

About 1 mile or so, not that far really. I've had to walk it before, except I was walking through the Underground tunnel so a bit more difficult

London Eye is impressive though, hope you get a clear day if you go on it. Looks great at night too, I drive past it everyday but I doubt you'd see it at night as hotels etc around there will expensive as fook
