All of you might all ready know this but just for the few young drivers who dont, there is a way to get 'reasonable' insurance for your first few years of driving while earning your own NCB. and it does not involve the thing which direct line does.

on your policy add your parents as named drivers instead of you been name drivers. im 18 now got 1 years named driving experience and i want my own policy. so i have gone with admiral and added both my parents on my 1.4 16v sri corsa as named drivers. i have said that there is no years no claims but that my parents have held there licences for how many years they have and its come back for 3rd party fire and theft with 750 pound worth of sterio damage and no years no claims

my final price is.......... £841 which i think is quite good what do you think? let me no

another school of thought is that the more drivers on the policy the increased likelyhood there will be a crash.

yes that is good but when you come to start your own policy one day when you grow up, you won't have any no claims bonus and will be charged huge amounts.

tbh it'd be stupid on his own policy, and in a few years it'll be cheaper despite lack of no claims if that makes sense. i think it may work out cheaper overall
