Like said granted wont be as fun as the nova thats correct.

All this stuff about ibiza's dont handle, coilovers and ARBS and they handle just as good as anything in its class.

Rob trust me, Rob R and my mate ally both had coilovers, and Ally even had the anti roll bar and eccentric top mounts and it was still diabolical.

Not the kind of thing you expect after having silly money spent on a car.

There is no doubting you can make one very very quick, but i'd rather get the mk4 and spend money on that.

Rob R's sounds like it may of had a problem if his astra was better stock, also depends on the coilovers Fad, if they had FK's or something its not going to be good really is it...

I agree an ibiza will never be as good as a 182 for example ropund bends, but with arbs and a good set of coilies, KW's/weitecs etc it certainly wont do badly.

This is not a comparable with a 182 as I never once mentioned it in any of my comments.

Nothing was wrong with Rob R's at all it was quick enough same as JoeW's Revo'd Golf 1.8t.

Should be alot quicker than revo'ed 1.8t, they only revo to about 185 bhp i think...and there heavier,..I remember in a post Rob R saying he had no end of probs etc with his

not to cause an argument and i no a 182 is better handaling but i cant see any car with decent coilovers and arb set up being diabolical

Think with your head and go for the ibiza. For all out fun you have to keep
Nova, will be better in a crash too, i crashed an 02 ibiza at 30 mph, stoved the engine into the bulk head, smashed everything on the front end, complete right off.

also dont really see how you can compare a ibiza to a clio. Completly different cars

3 of my mates have clio 182s, well one has the 172cup and they all happily admit my car is faster. As for build quality of the clios there are more rattles in those things than there ever was in my old L reg AX Debut

Every clio i've been in over a 04 plate have had rattles coming fom the interior

I will admit that the handling of the cupra in standard for is rubbish but the outright power and torque over the clios make up for that

But did they space out the rear track? Thats the 1st thing to do on a mk2 or mk3 because the rear track is 30mm narrower than the front. Totally changes the handling

Got to be the nova. Ibiza are well over hyped, seems to be any car thats cheap with a dump valve is amazing these days. But imo there nothing special, slow, shit handling and average looks. Only plus side is there easy to tune...but so are novas

I'd personally go for the Ibiza. I love the look of the MK3's, look alot nicer than a Nova imo. If it handles crap, does it really matter? Will you ever take it on a track? If you do then i'm sure you'll have modified the suspension etc.

I'm getting a MK4 Ibiza next week, and if it handles crap im not bothered. It will do the job for day to day driving and the occasional spirited drive. Hopfully will be on par with 182's/CTR's and Astra gsi's in terms of performance.

I never mentioned anything about a clio or an AX debut

I am giving my opinions based on what I have experienced ( I drove a few not one one but a FEW modified examples) before I came to the conclusion it wasnt for me.

Evidently Cupra owners cannot read either

at the end of the day, if you had the chance to buy a ibiza, and didnt like it and got the clio you will allways back up the renault

same thing if you wanted a shit old plastic renualt, didnt like it so bought an ibiza

your look over each cars many faults, and back it up regardless

ps: thats why a corsa c cdti is better than both, and will be much faster round a selection of kent roundabouts
