Hi guys, my other half has just bough a corsa sport 1.6 16v, and the heaters dont work (dont blow out hot air). The car runs at normal temperature and doesnt get too hot or cold.

Straight away I thought heater matrix, but someone said try the thermostat 1st as its cheaper, could it be the thermostat? james

if the rad is warm then the stat is opening

thats wot I thought if the thermostat isnt working then the temp gauge wouldnt read normal temp would it?

no because it wouldnt be cooling the water.

have you bled the system?

No I will try that tomorow, but if there was an air block in the system wouldnt it start getting really hot?

Ive seen a corsa do this before and it was indeed a blocked heater matrix.
A bit of hose pipe action in both directions soon restored notmal heater warmth function
