I went to the local music venue to see Robots In Disguise, we arranged to meet in The Terrace, formally The Northern Wall. It was full of Liverpool fans due to the Villa game. I arrived first so got a pint and stood near the bar, had a wander but didn't see the point in sitting with the fans as I'm a United supporter!! Two guys then walk in, both in suits, one walks over to a skin head whos sat with his girlfriend and introduces his mate saying they go to kick boxing together, the skin head didn't seem overally happy to see him but shook his hand anyway. My mate then arrives and we end up sat behind said skin head. The guy in the suit then walks past on the way to the toilet and does some shadow boxing etc in the direction of the skin head. The skin head then ushers him closer, put his arm around him and gave him the biggest talking to I've ever seen! Fingers pointing etc. Suited man then leaves and goes to the toilet. Mr Skinhead turns to his girlfriend and mutters something. Suited man returns from the toilet and thinks twice and walks straight past him! Must be a local hard man like cosmo!!
First band, Vix N The Kix were awesome, singer and bassit were rather tasty Singer asked if there was anyone from Birminghim in the venue and there was a cheer, she asked where they were from and they said Australia, figures. Scanners were utter shite and the main band Robots In Disguise were just like Shampoo. One could sing, the other couldn't. Most of their set revolved around samples. One played the guitar but the guitar you could hear was a sample as she wasn't even playing! Still, the kids lapped it up!

Isn't 'Robots in disguise' a copyrighted slogan for Transformers?
Sounds like a pretty good night anyways.

Fibbers yeah. Who played last night?
I like battle of the bands but hate the fact that the kids bring their entire class and teachers

My old band was called "Just for the taste of it"
That's a lie, but our name was an established trademark

Style of music?
I like most rock/metal. Hate thrash as its a waste of theirs and my time!

Darkest hour were fucking crazy, they got a circle pit going and the owners specifcally asked not to have them. Was funny trying to see them stop them ecspecially when the lead signer was one of them

Hmmm, can't stand the roaring thing, I just don't see the point! Not a lot to what I heard, typical drums guitar riff etc!
