Waste of money mate.

The only way you get abs is if you lose fat through a diet with a calorie deficit. The calories lost with the use of that belt would be so insignificant that there's no point.

Radicalry is right they're a waste of time, but so is calorie deficit due to starvation response. You need eat to support your metabolism, i.e. find out how many calories your body burns in a day, then just eat that amount of calories over 5/6 small meals a day. To burn more sugar/calories resistance training is the key, as muscle burns calories in the form of sugar, that sugar comes from the fat cells in your body which get metabolised.

Hope this helps

To lose bodyfat you need to be in a calorie deficit of around 100-300 calories a day. The starvation response you speak of only occurs due to an extreme drop in calories (e.g 500 or more)

So you're basically saying to eat as many calories as you burn in a day? That's called maintainance level and you wouldn't lose any fat at all.
