anyone think the penny has dropped with 2.0 corsa's these days, used to sell all day long for 2k but all of a sudden people really seem to struggle selling them for a decent price in comparison to conversion costs. seem to be worth pennies

look at jays total vauxhall featured corsa!! been for sale for years!

just wondering if its worth it anymore etc.

any thoughts

Also... and this is isn't a joke... but people are buying 106 gti / vts's...

106 gti / vts (and similar clio cup's etc) are so cheap these days, people can have XE performance for XE prices.

Once upon a time, get a corsa and XE it was a cheap way to high performance. Plus it was fairly rare.

this is also true actually ...

I remember when I had my first car, it was quite a expensive Corsa B Sxi, think it was about £4500 when I got it.

These days I see people going 'I've just got my first car, Sxi!' - I expect to see a Corsa B, and at minimum it's a Corsa C! in some cases D!

Problem is, I still see Corsa B / 106 Gti's etc as the same as before, it's just other people coming up to me going 'why you driving a classic?' - I'm like '1999 wasn't that long ago...' - they're like 'I was 8 at the time '

my car is a 1998 car and i feel humbled by having a car within the decade lol.

i reckon corsa B's have life left in them yet though.

Seems to me that people are becoming quite bored with the same mods and motors, people need to start trying different engine mods, eg: Beardy with a V6, maybe try stuffing a rotary in one or working out how to stuff a current engine in a Corsa, step out of the norm and try some never been done before stuff on your Corsa's. You could always start sending your parts over to Aus as it's a b*stard trying to find parts for em' over here. At the end of the day a vehicle that is between 8 - 12 yrs old is going to be an enthusiasts car. one thing I have noticed is becoming a trend on this Forum and don't get me wrong here, I have a lot of respect for you all and what you do with your cars but the constant 'Why bother doing that' and 'why don't you buy this instead *insert non Corsa model here* attitude on a Forum specifically for Corsa'a hence the name 'Corsasport-for Vauxhall, Opel ect' is a little distracting and off putting. Come on Guys and Girls liven up and get fired up again. Who cares what people think about the car you drive, what matters is what you think!

Car worth 2k tops, if that.

Engine from a car thats potentially 16 years old.

Supension form PVD/Regal/Courtney bargain basket.

You'd struggle to sell to most people in the real world.

Wouldn't say its just converted corsa's that dont sell, corsas in general are now very cheap to buy.

Give it a few years and there will be a market for tidy examples of XE corsa's, at the minute though its a very cheap and pretty simple conversion so everyones doing it.
