That might be difficult, in which case you could buy another car, SORN yours and move the insurance over, then sell the runabout and re-tax and re-insure yours after its sorted.
Buy one, use it instead of yours, sell it is still cheaper than run both. I'm only telling you because I know from experience. Extreme example but my Corsa costs 180py to tax and 400 to insure and I did about 200 miles. If I wanted to pay £2.90/mile I would have bought a Range Rover. Could probably get taxis for less tbh.
Fair point, as I really wouldn't do much mileage on it as I'd use it on Saturdays nights and that'd be about it? That's 100 miles at a MAX. Then u have to ask yourself is it worth all that money for the grin factor of 1 night a week. Plus, my insurance is over double that, so more like £4.00 a mile or so. You do know how to make a very good point.

I got plans, it's just hard doing them whilst using the car everyday, which is why I really wanted a runaround for a while, but looks like they're may be other options rather than buying another car Speedo reads 70 when doing 50, but that's cause it's got the wrong lockwoods on it. Rev counter has never been wrong though?

10mph!
I need to get the 0-130mph clocks. Instead of the current 0-140 clocks.
