Sold as seen applies as long as the other buyer signs a declaration saying they were able to inspect the vehicle appripriately

This is the legal way of wording sold as seen phil

use this and there will be no comeback

The sold as seen bollox does not wash in the eyes of the law. There is protection for the consumer under the sale of goods act if memory serves. If you are writing sold as seen you are basically admitting to selling a nail in my opinion.

I have never written it on any car receipt because the buyer only has so long to reasonably haul you up on faults in the eyes of the law.

I have also learned something new from a post further down re: the wording. Even so, I would not sell a car I was not confident in as it would only make me look a prize coont.
