so far i have been set on the idea of a 106gti, but for the last few days im thinking about getting something diff, not sure what, but i would quite like a more grown up car im really not sure, so thought i would ask you lot what you think i should get,,,, needs to follow these guidlines:-
around £4000ish (5000 total max)
ill be 18 with 1yncb
insurance under £2000 (less the better!!)
needs to be nippy
needs to be kind of comfy
something i could drive a few 100 miles in if and when i need to,
so far i have been set on the 106gti which will be 1800 on insurnance,

Just get a aygo or something mate, no point of throwing your money away on insurance, plus petrol aint cheap these days.

golfs always seem to be prety deer, well did for me anyway. if you are thinking of VW have a look at bora sport. will be cheaper to insure than a golf.

You're young mate, i'd go for the 106 GTI and have some fun.
Saxo VTS will be a little cheaper to pick up but the build quality is less.

a 106 will not make you look grown up
Dont spend £1800 on insurance on a plastic hatchback. Its a gross waste of money. thats £150 a month
Wait untill you are 21 to get a "fast" car when you will be able to insure something for half that!
