Saw an advert for this on TV and had got my £8.00 O2 rewards through and thought I'd give it a try, seen as I've never done a check on my car
Turns out my car is fine.
The information is quite good, and for £3 (compared to the albeit more comprehensive but expensive HPI check) you can't complain. Ideal for when you go looking at a car and want immediate history on it.

£3 + usual rate. Then £1.50 + usual rate for insurance.

IIRC it's a pretty poor check, and only really tells you if it's stolen, or if it's been previously written off - both of which can be easily found out by looking at the log book anyway I think (sure it's printed on if it's previously CAT C or worse?)

And if it's a dodgey log book etc? HPI does much of the same. Also tells if it has outstanding finance.
For £3, and mobile information i.e. you've travelled to look at a car second hand, you can't really complain.

It is, but Cat C & D are the only two that can be put back on the road anyway. The logbook wouldn't say it it had been stolen, though.

True, but I doubt you get many people stealing cars and their logbooks .
Personally I'd use the RAC for £5, where you've got a guarantee and it tells you about any outstanding finance. Can do it over a free phone number too .
