... what should I look out for?
I have done 7/8k in it since I have had it (87k on clocks)
I am thinking I should ask a mate of mine to give it a "pre-mot" as mine is on 04/02/2008 IIRC
I think that they may pick up on:
- Passenger side mirror (electric) isn't barely working?
- Seatbelt is dodgy
- Tyres scrub a bit on the back!
if needed should I take my alloys off when I have the mot?
Thanks
p.s I have had the cambelt/oil filter done within the last year!

Electric mirrors dont have to work to pass an MOT.
What do you mean by dodgy?
Aslong as not of the tread has worn away you should get away with it.
Just make sure all your fluids are topped up.
All your lights work.
Your front wiper blades are not falling to peices.
Also, take your car for a quick thrash down a bypass/motorway before you go, gets the crap out of the system that may effect the emmisions.

All the MOT'er will do is clip it in, pull on it once or twice then release it.
Tbh for the price of them you might aswell get new ones

My dad said that in Vauxhall cars they have the gas dubrey... (it pulls back when you have a crash or something?)
Ok well I shall take the tyres off (better to be safe than sorry)
Im sure it will be cheap to do but yea...

Taking impreza in tomorrow for MOT, checked everything on ramp and everythings fine except no CAT so CO emissions wont meet the criteria but lucky for me my mates going to overlook it.
best thing to do with the belts is to clip them all in before and check them, if there tight leave them as said its only a quick check they do so you should be ok

You know your seatbelt clip is dodgy and you don't seem bothered?
In the event of an accident, I wouldn't want it to fail.

pmsl over looking a seat belt because your too tight/lazy to get it sorted. Not a pleasant way to kill yourself in a smash

The popping out seatbelt is a common fault on the Vauxhall, I had a recall done on my Corsa FOR FREE at my local Vauxhall to have it done. Something about springs not going all the way in whn you put the belt in. Bit weird that people don't seem bothered.
