hey there this is my first post, i have a s reg 1.4 corsa sport, just passed my test 2 months ago, having a bit of a problem getting it into gear, ive been told that its the gear linkage that is the problem. and that this is common!! just wondering if any1 else has had the same problem as me? and ive searched the internet and cant seem to find 1 , any1 know a site i can get it from????? thanks! craig

Firstly welcome!

Secondly, my 12v quite often refuses to go into 1st and 2nd first time too, I think it is a common fault.

ahhh thanks!!! it was going fine then i had no 4th gear atal then eventually 1st went its annoyin been looking for a gear linkage for ages!! any1 know a gd place for these?!?!

hi mate, welcome to corsasport

get some pics up of your car

my old corsa used to crunch into gear, it was due to the clutch cable being crap and needed replaced, was fine after that.

lol that is happening to me aswell, going to put a new clutch in it aswell!! erm not too sure how to do the pic thing lol!!

Welcome

The gear selection is a common fault on the 12v and the 1.2 16v. If you go along to your main dealer its about £60 for a new linkage and only take about an hour to fit and set up. If you take it to a garage anything around the £150 mark for the whole job (inc parts) is a reasonable price
