have been looking at new cars again today and now i am really stuck

Cars i have looked at

Alfa 147 GTA - gorgeous interior, goes like stink in a straight line

Focus ST3 - good car to many on the road

BMW 330ci - nice car, quick and comfy (lots on road but i like them) insurance half the price

Scooby WRX STi - cracking car, quick and good for b roads (i live in the country)

Lotus elise - quick fun car but expensive only 2 seats

VX220 T - quick fun car great value for money, only 2 seats again

I now work from home and dont need my car for work so wont be doing to many miles and can always get a loan of my mums civic if needing more than 2 seats.

I was looking at £16k max but would prefer to spend £12k ish
insurance for most of the above is around £1k mark wouldnt want to spend any more

Help and opinions needed, should i consider anything else??

starting to like the VX220T idea

would you consider:
a BMW Z4 (same engine as 330 iirc but lighter) or
an S2000
or maybe an Evo#?

With hat in mind from your 3 top chioces the BMW will be the dullest drive from the 3, you dont need it for work do you'll be looking for something to put a smile on your face, which both the Scooby & VX220 will do. So whatever one of those you think would be the best to live with.

scooby matey, drive a newage or blobeye sti and you will soon find out, very well built compared with the classics like mine they are very comfortable, handle very good and dont go bad either, and you cant beat that scooby burble
