Hi,

I have just bought a little Corsa B 1.0 12v, and there is a problem with the throttle on it. It over'revs to the point where i don't really need to use the accelerator! Looking under the bonnet I found the plastic lug attached to the cable (excuse my crap mechanical skills!) is not springing back to where it should be. I have tried lubricating it, and have also taken out the idle control valve to clean, but i don't think it is that. Any ideas?

Replace the throttle cable.

With the engine off..... is the Idle control valve rod anywhere near the clip where it pushes the throttle?
