Had extremely good fun, was driving around for hours, did about 100 miles

Discovered how painfully slow the 1.2 8v is

Loved it though, really good fun, defiantly getting a faster car or putting a bigger engine in this one when I pass my test, christ its slow

I have a 1.2 8v aswell...

Trust me, "flooring it" isn't an option. Well... it is, but you don't go any quicker...

How true, booting it in 3rd does nothing

Booting it in 2nd is just shocking

Nice to see your getting used to it. Just take it easy, don't become a statistic.

Use the 1.2 8v for a while, get a years NCB then have a 1.6 8v or something in there

You've had loads of tips, but I've got a pretty decent one.

Don't take the car over 3krpm! I had to drive 20 miles like that, when I thought my head gasket was on the way out. I wasn't stressed when I got to Uni, the car was fine, I hadn't crashed or had the remote risk of crashing. All was good

It cant get them lit, the lack of power & a fucked clutch means it does nothing

mines been to 6750 quite a few times, that was when i first got it though, never goes over 5k now

i think it's better to take it there from near enough the word go instead of ''running it in'' as modern engines are already ''run in'' from factory.

Once you learn where to change etc 1.2s aint bad. Iv had mine for 14months and iv given it some abuse when i passed but still pulls as good as it did when i bought it.

I fancy getting it rolling roaded for the crack to see exactly how powerfull it is

driving a 1.2 8v issa realxing but... you don't have to stay playing with the accellerator!! just floor it all the time and you won't be driving fast anyway!

Once its up to speed its not so bad, but once you hit a hill, fucking hell

Doing about 65mph in 5th, came to a fairly steep hill, had to drop down to 2nd to get up it at a decent speed

Trying to get used to the push-pull steering thing, spent all day yesterday doing my own way, took me a few hours to get used to the push-pull method, but got it now.
