i noticed an under cover cop car following me tonight i was doing nothing wrong it continued following me for a while so i thought i go to my aunties to see if she was in, it continued to follow me until i parked on the drive.
the police man asked me to come over to him, i gave him my details as he asked and he took my height etc, then my mate got out of the car just after i did and another police man took his name this is where i get confused. my friend had to sign the peice of paper the policeman wrote his details on and i didnt, (i believe he was writing a producer but i could be wrong) he then explained i done nothing wrong but still had to pull me, then he got in the car and drove off..
i didnt recieve a copy of what the policeman wrote down( my details) but am i or am i not supose to recieve a copy of what the policeman wrote down as i receieve nothing?
sorry about essay

Think you sign to say the details you gave are true & accurate....just incase they need to follow up. Sounds routine & nothing to worry about. Didnt they say why they stopped you?

i've been stopped once, it happened this year in my old corsa 2ltr, I was going through a village a little too fast, saw pigs, slowed down and they followed me out of the village, stoped me on a bridge and had a little chat to me
Said something about my speed, I neither confirmed or denied and he started writing out a description of me and my car, routine stuff, they have to log it down. I think I got a copy of that, but I dont think its much of a big deal if you dont get one.

I got followed for 13 miles at 0300 in the middle of January a couple of years ago. Guy was inches off my bumper but I observed the rules of the road, drove sensibly, didn't speed etc.
Having travelled on quiet country lanes, through the middle of a near deserted town, past a couple of industrial estates and big car parks the copper decided to pull me right in the middle of a housing estate full of families and old people. He used the sirens and lights and kept the lights on whilst I was put in the back of his car. That annoyed me as there had been ample opportunity to pull me in a less residential area before that. All the curtains were twitching with peopel looking out, beairng in mind this was 3 in the morning!
Anyway turns out he stopped me for a blown number plate light bulb and said to get it changed then breathalised me which I was clear, I hadn't had a drop to drink.
Funniest thing was the WPC in the passenger seat was asleep all the way through; I'm sure the copper was just bored!
