Have him ask Powerflow.

Your legal rights mean the goods must be fit for purpose but there is no obligation to cover expenses.

Powerflow are franchised so it won't be the same people if its a different dealer.

No halfords is a UK company that has outlets.

Powerflow is a franchise, meaning people have bought the name to use and make a company out of it.

I've had both my exhausts on both my Corsas done at different Powerflow franchises, always a good job.

They'll fix it (as long as he hasn't smashed it against a kerb etc so break the hangers).
Travel costs are a no-no though.

If it was a powerflow garage then he should have got lifetime warranty meaning he can get the same one brand new.

I got powerflow system and never had probs with mine (touch wood)

so they should anyway, apparently someone on here said it only costs about £32 in parts to make a cat back system.

regardless of parts and what they cahgre in the first place his moddifications meant the exhuast was hitting nothing to do with powerflow so legally they arnt liable to fix it so doing it for free is nice, i fucking wouldnt

whoever said that it costs £32 to make a cat back exhaust is so far from the truth. we price our corsa B systems up like this:

Stainless flanges x2
3m of stainless t304 tube
5" centre silencer
12" oval rear silencer
10mm exhaust hangers x4
tailpipe x1
exhaust rubbers x4
4 hours tig welding fabrication time
welding consumables

try getting that lot for £232 let alone £32
