Does anyone know the deal with paying in cheques with Lloyds TSB? :-
I used the quick deposit machine on Saturday night to put a personal cheque into my bank account. I understand that this normally adds 1 more working day to the cheque being processed etc... but for some reason its showing on my transaction history when I checked the online banking.
It has the deposit of the correct amount, and the balance to the right amended as required. However, the available balance at the top of the screen doesn't appear to be correct. Am I correct in thinking the available balance will not include that cheque until it is fully cleared? Its hard to tell if it has been included as I have made many recent transactions in and out over the weekend and without having all the reciepts available to me right now I'm a bit stuck.
Cheers!

Account balance will be more than the available balance until it clears. The difference should be the amount the cheque is.

I thought so, but am unsure as I have made a few payments over the phone and was unsure if I'd forgotten about something... not got all the figures to hand right now.
